2011-05-27 – Friday Whisper – Music is My Life…

Well, not really 🙂 still music is very important to me…and it happened that in the last 10 days I got a good doze of it:
An AUB Choir and Choral Society, a mix of hard rock, acoustic,  electro and piano from AUB music club, guitar concert of Giulio Tampalini, Hip Hop Arabic with “Fareeq el Atrash”, Issa Ghandour & “Al Madina Band” singing Sayyed Darwish, Lebanese songs written by “Adonis” creative young men , and ended with Tenor Eliya Francis tonight…
I enjoyed some of them more than others… still there was something in each one of them that I liked somehow… each one made me go to a different place… amazing how music has this power…it makes you armless in few seconds… travels through your senses without your consent… nourishes your soul with a different taste of life… hits your senses with a sweet spring breeze… and fills your lips with one smile after another…
It washes your soul and leaves a different kind of pleasure that you cannot do without… whether you’re feeling happy, sad, depressed, crazy or even mourning, you yearn for music sometimes to soothe your soul…and it is music to which you let yourself go without restrictions or rules…
And somehow there are enough music kinds that can suit each and everyone of us… The music you hate is someone’s else taste… isn’t that a blessing?!
Music is a universal language that needs no translation, where we can all have the same feeling, connecting us with invisible dots, bringing us together to become one…
Good one is formed of a mixture of different kinds of notes… same like us, human beings, made of different races, colors, cultures and religions, which brings the best mixture of us if we play the same rhythm, hand in hand, just like those notes… Only if we come along to dance together, life would have been much different…
Aaaaaaaanyway, back to our music 🙂 don’t say no to a different kind of music event, you might end up liking it, or just liking your own music more 😉 for sure, no harm would come out of it!!!
William F. Buckley, Jr., an American author, said: “Life can’t be all bad when for ten dollars you can buy all the Beethoven sonatas and listen to them for ten years”
And Victor Hugo, a French author, said: “Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.”
If you can hear any kind of music, then you can count an extra blessing in your life…
